OK, here’s a hodgepodge of pix, all (mostly) having something to do with, you know, THE blizzard of 2012 or my chickens or whatever — including pix of things I’ve not written about yet (and maybe never will). But can I really make a so-called gallery?

We shall see … OK … I give up. I’d sure like to find an easier to set viewing options. Like, say, columns. Is text verboten? Dunno.

you know this one, right? bloodroot, a beloved spring wildflower, and the very definition of "ephemeral" — the lovely white blossoms last about a week. These distinctive leaves last into the summer ... then, if I remember aright, the plant goes dormant.

they know I've got the goodies. afternoon treat time could be anything from moldy bagels (sliced, chopped, and soaked, seasoned with a splash of oil or even, yes, chicken fat) to spoiling meat: well cooked and finally chopped. Remember: chickens love bugs, those high-protein, high-fat morsels. And they have cast-iron stomachs.
